Gifts For The Web Addict

Whether it’s a co-worker, boss, client, associate, or friend, here’s a list of great gift ideas…provided that this person is a total web addict. The best thing about these gifts…if you’ve waited until the LAST MINUTE to do your shopping you won’t have to worry because they can be delivered online.

  • Give the gift of flickr. The best thing is if you buy a one year gift, you’ll get 3 months of the Pro service added to your account. This offer expires January 31, 2008.
  • I think a Godaddy gift card would make a great birthday present for anyone with more than 3 domain names or websites. I think this gift certificate would be WONDERFUL (and a subtle hint) for the person who has a blog but refuses to purchase their own domain name. It would also make a nice holiday gift for someone who you are just trying to be nice to.
  • Who doesn’t shop on Amazon? Because the sell just about everything including kitchen sinks, an Amazon Gift Certificate is a great gift for any man, woman, or child with a computer and internet connection.
  • For something that’s a little more personal, try a MOO gift certificate. That way the person can use their flickr pro account that you so graciously gave them in order to print their favorite pictures as mini-cards, notecards, postcards, or stickers.
  • If you really want to be a fancy pants, treat your favorite web addict to a new computer or computer accessory. These gift cards from Dell can be delivered via email.

For the web addicts out there, what kinds of gifts would you like to receive?
Note to my husband, feel free to get me anything on this list. :)

    Quick Meal: Tater Tot Casserole

I get my best work done in the evening hours so I don’t like to stop and make dinner. I need something that I can setup in the morning while I am still groggy, and pop in the oven in the evening so I don’t have to interrupt my flow.

    Enter- tater tot casserole.

I saw this recipe mentioned while I was watching a special on the Duggar Family. My husband cringed, but I thought it sounded good so I looked up the recipe. When it came down to making it, I had to modify the recipe to suit my own tastes.

Disclaimer- despite sounding rather disgusting, it is a good meal.

2 lb ground turkey cooked, seasoned, drained
    3 2lb bags tater tots
    1 cup milk
    2 cans cream of chicken
    1/4 onion
    shredded cheese

Cook meat with slices of onions & place in 9×13 pan. Mix soup & milk together. Sprinkle cheese over it. Cover with tater tots over top. Add a few more cheese sprinkles. Bake at 350 for 1 Hour.

Contrary to the original recipe, make sure you add the tater tots on top. Soggy tater tots are not tasty.

And yes, even though my husband was disgusted at the thought of me making this, he really enjoyed it.

    Why I Don’t Have a Virtual Assistant

This blog is about making life easier and I don’t have a virtual assistant?

    That’s right.

I don’t believe one person can be great at everything so I’m often perplexed when someone wants to be my VA and they are sure they can provide:

    • Writing Services
    • PR
    • Graphic Design
    • Link Building
    • SEO
    • Web Design

You are telling me that you are an expert writer/web designer/graphic artist/ search engine guru?

Unless you are outsourcing some of these tasks, I’m just not buying it.
