Tag, I’m It
I’ve been tagged by Liz Fuller of More Than WE Know. Liz is a business development specialist focusing on Women Entrepreneurs.
I’ve always wanted to do a meme (rhymes with dream) because it’s a great way to network with people.
So here are the rules:
1) Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2) Share 7 facts about yourself.
3) Tag 7 random people and include links to their blogs.
4) Let each person know they have been tagged and comment on their blog.
1. When I was little I used to turn my room into a store. I’d set it up with a little table, grab some items, make some price tags and then I’d stick a sign on my door. I’d then wait for my dad to come home so that I could sell stuff to him. My mom never played into my little game, but my dad always did. I guess that’s one sign I was meant to be an entrepreneur.
2. I hate public speaking, but I love challenges. My senior year of college I applied to be the student speaker at graduation. I figured if I had the opportunity to speak in front of my graduating class then I’d never be afraid of public speaking again. I was chosen as the speaker and it was a great experience. I haven’t had the chance to speak to an audience of thousands since then so don’t ask me if I am still nervous about it.
3. I’m an avid I Love Lucy fan. I have a nice sized collection of memorabilia on display in my home.
4. I have a slight obsession with business cards. I’m not sure why, but I find business cards to be absolutely fascinating.
5. I used to sell Avon but I didn’t like that I didn’t have enough control over marketing efforts.
6. I don’t like math so don’t ask me a mathematical question and expect me to answer it if I don’t have a calculator.
7. I order from Vistaprint weekly. This probably has something to do with my fascination with office supplies.

Hi DJ
Thanks for playing! I love the fact that you set up a store in your room as a child - I think we are our most authentic selves when we are 8 years old. The more I can recreate my adult life to have the activities that I enjoyed at 8 (being outdoors, reading, writing, making crafts, playing “teacher”) the better it is!
December 4th, 2007 at 10:56 amI just laugh thinking about it because I don’t know where I would get the idea to do that. Pay me $2 for stuff you already own!
December 4th, 2007 at 6:29 pmHAHAHA Love it! Thanks for tagging me - I’ll have to get on this and post tonight. Very fun, DJ. Love your random facts and the opportunity to join in the fray.
(And that’s very savvy niche marketing, waiting for your Dad. Gotta go for the customers who will actually pay up. heeheehee)
December 4th, 2007 at 7:43 pm[…] DJ at Making Life Easier in Home and Business tagged me for the 7 things meme, and, since I’ve answered it a number of times at Busymom.net, I thought I’d give it a shot over here, and, make it about work. […]
