Quick Links: Why Twitter?

My very first twitter was on August 15th and it said: I am not understanding the appeal of Twitter. I just didn’t understand how a service that only provided facebook-like status updates would be a good use of my time. Tag, I’m It

I’ve been tagged by Liz Fuller of More Than WE Know. Liz is a business development specialist focusing on Women Entrepreneurs.

I’ve always wanted to do a meme (rhymes with dream) because it’s a great way to network with people.

So here are the rules:

1) Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2) Share 7 facts about yourself.
3) Tag 7 random people and include links to their blogs.
4) Let each person know they have been tagged and comment on their blog.

1. When I was little I used to turn my room into a store. I’d set it up with a little table, grab some items, make some price tags and then I’d stick a sign on my door. I’d then wait for my dad to come home so that I could sell stuff to him. My mom never played into my little game, but my dad always did. I guess that’s one sign I was meant to be an entrepreneur.

2. I hate public speaking, but I love challenges. My senior year of college I applied to be the student speaker at graduation. I figured if I had the opportunity to speak in front of my graduating class then I’d never be afraid of public speaking again. I was chosen as the speaker and it was a great experience. I haven’t had the chance to speak to an audience of thousands since then so don’t ask me if I am still nervous about it.
