Well so far I've gotten "Oh, did you make these yourself?" Ha ha ha.

I also don't have the chance to hand out too many cards but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I feel like if I don't have them I'll be out somewhere and miss my big networking chance just because I don't have a card. It hasn't happened yet but I wasn't going to let that be the cause of me getting some cards so I went ahead and plopped down the $20 or so. That's also why I went with Moo because I don't need 500 cards sitting in a box, 100 will do.

I'm looking forward to hearing what the corporate types think. ;-)

I confess I've been going with the "most of my time is spent online, why do I need a business card" method myself. I'm not real thrilled with it because the traditional brick & mortar experienced part of me says it's a huuuuge no-no. However, when I worked for a magazine I got business cards from them and I think I handed out about 20 at a convention once - and rarely used the rest, except as things to jot notes on at the store. (Because of course I had a stash in my purse "just in case". heh heh)

I used to have mommy cards too - my plan was to revamp them when my son was born. But then I realized I only handed out about a dozen or so of those (and they were even FREE for a product review!) - 2 of them were for my daughter's suitcase during visitation with her father, and the others were handed out mostly to family because they were so utterly cool I wanted to show them off. I gave them to a grand total of 3 moms, as I recall, as a "contact me for more info on homeschooling or a mom's night out". I got zero calls or emails. *chuckle*
