Things That Make My Life Easier: BlogDesk

Posted on January 06, 2008 by DJ

I’m blessed in that it doesn’t take me that long to come up with blog ideas, and once I have an idea, I can whip out a post in a decent amount of time.

When I’m ready to blog I login to WordPress, type it up, read it over, and I’m done. I’ve never felt the need to “pre-type” my posts into Microsoft Word or any other program.

I don’t like to be left in the dark so I decided to try out a blog writer to see if it helped at all with my productivity. So here I am typing to you from BlogDesk and I must tell you, this program sure is making my life easier.

Now when I have an idea I can quickly load up the program and start typing. No waiting for an internet connection, logging onto the admin panel of the blog I want to write, trying to remember by password, and all those other things.

BlogDesk allows me to blog and go which is important since I have several blogs to maintain.

  • Setup is a breeze.
  • Adding pictures is extremely easy, there’s even a pic editor within the program.
  • Cost is amazingly free.
  • Managing multiple blogs is now a snap

I’m sure there are more savvy programs but for now BlogDesk works for me.

  1. WOW – this sounds fantastic! I am SO going to have to check it out some time this week. One more thing on the to-do list *chuckle* but it sounds like it would be well worth my time to give it a go! THANKS!

It’s completely worth it. Though I must admit that sometimes I forget to use it if I am just going to write one post because I am so used to just logging into the platform. But if I have a few to write then I usually remember that I can save myself some time.

  3. I use Mars Edit on a Mac and really really like its ease of use. When WordPress upgraded and the interface changed, the Mars Edit was consistent in look, use, and function. Big fan!
