    I don’t have a clue how many people subscribe to my blog. I’ve never worried or thought about it.

    There’s really no reason to worry about it unless your blogging is business related. Even in the sense that your business is your blog.

    Even if your blog isn’t business related, I think it’s good to know your feed count to get an idea of how many people are out there reading.

    But, maybe that’s just me.

    You are right, it’s good to know but you don’t have to make it public.

    Still, there’s no reason to “worry” about it unless your income is dependent on it. By worry I mean constantly obsess. Keep it in mind, yes, use feedburner, yes, but there’s no reason to focus on that more than the actual blog.
